We are grateful to Mabon House for the list of Celtic Full Moon names. We use these names because our family is Celtic & Danish, and because the traditional or First Nations moons have been anglicized. The true meanings behind their traditions belong to them.
We light up the grid space with a perpetual candle between the new moon and full moon at the White Light Express sacred altar, where we read your prayers in private, and sit in meditation for your highest and best outcome.
Marking the end of the growing season, ancient Celts referred to the October full moon as the Harvest Moon, Seed Fall Moon, or Hunter’s Moon. Aligning with the celebration of Samhain, October is a good time to honor loved ones who have passed on. It is also a good time to do spiritual and physical house cleaning, getting rid of what doesn’t serve you in the coming year.
